How to search the South Dakota registry

The Business Information Search searches by business name (starts with or contains), secretary of State Business ID and active entities only filter.

  1. Open the Business Information Search on sosenterprise.sd.gov.
  2. Type the business name and pick Starts With or Contains, or enter the Business ID.
  3. Tick Active Entities Only if you want to hide dissolved and expired records, then select Search.
  4. Scan the result table for the Business ID, entity type, home state, filing date and status.
  5. Open the record to see the registered agent, annual report due date and filing history.
