How to search the Washington registry

The Corporations and Charities Filing System search searches by business name, UBI number and registered agent and principal names (advanced search).

  1. Open the CCFS search at ccfs.sos.wa.gov.
  2. Type the business name or the 9-digit UBI number.
  3. Use the advanced options to narrow by entity type, status or agent if the list is long, then search.
  4. Open the business to see its status, expiration date, registered agent, governors and filing history.
  5. Order a Certificate of Existence ($20) if you need official proof that the entity is active.

What a Washington status means
